His international career began in 1984 when he won the Gold Medal and the Rosa Sabater Prize at the Concurso Internacional de Piano in Jaén, Spain. Concerts in New York, Moscow and Saint Petersburg (under the patronage of the Sviatoslav Richter Foundation), and in Europe have found critical acclaim and enthusiastic audiences.
Since then he has been a sought-after musician and gives numerous concerts, master classes and lectures in Germany and abroad.
William Fong is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music and head of keyboard instrumentation at the Purcell School for Young Musicians – one of Europe’s leading music schools for emerging young talents.
