About the Competition
Piano competition for young musicians
Following successful competitions in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2025 the Robert Schumann Competition for young pianists will now take place for the sixth time.
As of 2025, the organiser of the competition is the Robert Schumann Society (Robert Schumann Gesellschaft e.V.).
The competition will be held from 20 March to 3 April 2027, at the Robert Schumann Hall in Düsseldorf. All rounds of the competition are open to the public. Admission to Rounds I and II is free of charge.
The final concert with orchestra will take place on Saturday April 3, 2027, at 6:00 p.m. in the Robert Schumann Hall at the Museum Kunstpalast.
